It’s hard to know who is telling the truth about what we should be doing or not doing.  We hear health gurus, trainers, even doctors say that we should be taking vitamins and supplements daily.      Boldt Castle, such an amazing place and the story of why the castle was built. Just Imagine Mr. Boldt built the castle for his wife, it was his way to show his love, yes it is a true love story.

     I personally think a movie could be made out of this, also I highly recommend visiting this place. It’s in Ontario, close to Kingston, thousand Islands to be exact. They have tens of thousands of visits every year, not sure if it’s open since the pandemic but it’s a must-do excursion and very affordable.

     It is such a beautiful place, everything is well kept and manicured. We had a fantastic time and we love making every one of our outings exciting.

       Hi All, this is a really late journal entry. My daughter who was 17 then is now 24 but I’d like to share this because the memories are still fresh. Each year in August we host a youth camping weekend, this particular group was under the guidance of Pastor Mike, a former youth Pastor at Evangel Pentecostal church.

      On a Sunday morning the group went from our chalet to a provincial trail, called Park of the Chute-à-Bull. This park has many trails, one of which led to the Belvedere (the top of the mountain) where Pastor Mike Shared God’s word to the youth group.

      The Belvedere overlooked the beautiful landscape,  let me tell you the view is overwhelming, simply breath-taking. After our mini service we had a light snack, you know, a fruit, water and health bars. After that we moved to another trail which led to some waterfalls, equally breath taking. Total walking distance for that morning was probably about 7 km. What a blessed morning and amazing weekend.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well this excursion with our children was worth a million.
It is indescribably the best natural wonder in Canada.

On that Warm day in August  we went to the one and only Niagara Falls, we visited the main street, the gardens, went to the amusement park, museums and had All you can eat BBQ ribs for lunch. I think that for the boys, the BBQ ribs were the highlight. For me, well its quite clear, it was the falls. We bought tickets for the family to walk under the falls and also to take the “Maid of the Mist” boat tour into the basin of the falls. As you can see it was nothing less than spectacular. Those little thin plastic hoodies they give you are absolutely needed and I recommend you wear glasses, I was not expecting the spray from the falls to be so intense.

Needless to say, this memory has implanted itself into my brain for life, and sharing and enjoying it with my children was even better. I highly recommend a trip to Niagara falls, It may be a little pricy (it was for us because were six) but well worth it. For those of you who is not quite sure where Niagara Falls is situated I’ve included a google map link.
